The Ratnapura Gem Provenance Software System is a separate system, built to document a stone’s journey from mine to market (rough stone, trader, cutter, laboratory and jeweller) with evidence at each step rather than unverifiable claims. It is being piloted alongside the Gem City Ratnapura 2026 exhibition on a small set of well-documented stones.
Verify an issued certificate
Every approved gem identification gets a unique certificate ID. Look it up to confirm it was issued by the Association and see its basic details.
